AION 2 system requirements
To run AION 2 you need a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC with at least a GTX 1050 Ti (4 GB), 8 GB of RAM, a Ryzen 5 2600 or Core i5-10500 and 100 GB of free space. That minimum comes with a condition: at 1080p, NC says to drop the graphics preset to Very Low.

Each column on the Steam page ends with a note, and the notes are the part to read twice:
Minimum: “SSD Recommended. When using FHD resolution in-game, set the graphics preset to Very Low to ensure compatibility.”
Recommended: “SSD Recommended. When using FHD resolution in-game, set the graphics preset to Low to ensure compatibility.”

What the two columns actually promise
The recommended machine, a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-11700 with 16 GB and an RTX 2070, is paired with the Low preset at 1080p, not High. So neither column describes the game at its best: both come with a Very Low or Low preset attached. Neither promises a frame rate, and NC has published nothing for 1440p, 4K or the higher presets.
One practical lead if you are near the bottom of the table: the game’s open source notice lists NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution among its components, so check the graphics menu for an upscaling option before lowering everything else.
Can my PC run it?
- 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Settings, System, About shows the system type. Steam lists no Mac or Linux build.
- A DirectX 12 graphics card with 4 GB or more of its own memory. Press Win+R, run dxdiag and open the Display tab: it names the card and its display memory. The GTX 1050 Ti is the floor.
- 8 GB of RAM, 16 GB for the recommended setup. Listed as installed RAM on the same About page.
- A processor at least on the level of a Ryzen 5 2600 or Core i5-10500. The About page names it.
- 100 GB free, on an SSD if you can. Both columns ask for the same space, and the install steps are on download and install.
- A broadband connection. AION 2 is an online game.
Handhelds are a separate question: the Steam Deck is still untested by Valve, which is covered on controller and Steam Deck.
One player’s laptop
NC gives no frame rates, so the nearest thing is what players post. One r/Aion2 player on a laptop close to the minimum graphics memory wrote:
“i have a gaming laptop with a 3050ti with 4 GB VRAM, 16 GB of RAM, Intel Core i7-11800H and the game works alright. not 60 fps stable, but something like 45 fps average, maybe less.”
