AION 2 account problems: bans, verification and linking
If your AION 2 account was restricted the moment you paid on PURPLE, open a ticket with NC support: that is how the players it happened to got the restriction lifted. The other snags below have fixes you can do yourself.

Restricted right after paying on PURPLE
A handful of players who went to buy a Founder’s Pack on PURPLE found their account restricted at checkout, on new and long-standing NC accounts alike. One of them:
“Downloaded the app, made an account, went to purchase, and then banned immediately with the same email response you have.”
No cause is known, and the reports share no obvious trigger: some came after a declined card or failed attempts, others before any card details were entered. What they share is the fix: support lifted the restriction after a ticket, in one case within the hour. The player who first raised it, once support replied:
“I just received a response from NCSoft, and they’ve finally lifted the ban.”
Open a ticket at help.plaync.com/qna/ticket and choose AION 2 Global, then Account Inquiries, which is the route the unbanned player above used. Say which account was restricted and what you were doing when it happened.
The verification email never came
It comes from the @mail.plaync.com domain. Look in Spam, Junk and Promotions, and check that your mail provider is not blocking that domain. A wrong address can be changed on the NC Account Management page, once every 90 days, and the change completes only when you click the link sent to the new address.
A sign-in that fails with an account conflict is different: an NC account and a PLAYNC account are separate, and if both use one email address you are locked out until the NC account’s address changes. The error pop-up links to the page that does it.
Steam and PURPLE: one character, two launchers
Both launchers reach the same characters, with one extra step in one direction:

None of this applies during Early Access: for those five days you play only on the launcher your pack was bought on, and a pack bought on one launcher is used only there. The wider choice between the two is on Steam or PURPLE.
A card check at checkout
Your first card payment through Xsolla, NC’s payment provider, may need a one-time verification: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and JCB can send you to your bank’s 3D Secure page to enter a code or the small pending amount your bank shows, which is cancelled once you pass. Three wrong entries cancel the payment, and after three hours you need a new payment. Gift and prepaid cards are not accepted. A decline after entering the amount comes from Xsolla’s fraud check, so Xsolla support handles it.
Countries where the global version is not available
NC does not allow play or accept payments from these countries and territories, and playing from them is not supported:
China, Vietnam, Cuba, Syria, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Macau, Russian Federation, Belarus, Belgium, Netherlands, Curacao, Bonaire, Saint Maarten, Aruba, Serbia, Slovakia.
Belgium and the Netherlands are on it although Europe has its own servers; the regions are on regions and servers.
