AION 2 Kinah, Kina and Quna

Kinah and Kina are the same thing: NC’s English notices spell AION 2’s gold Kina, and this page follows NC. It is the currency you earn by playing and spend on the Market. Quna is the premium currency bought with real money, and the two meet in a player-run exchange where one player sells Kina and another pays for it in Quna.

What membership changes

Most of the Kina economy sits behind the $15 monthly membership. NC’s own before-and-after table:

FeatureWithout membershipWith membership
Market (your server)List items for sale; cannot buyList and buy
World MarketCannot list or buyList and buy
Kina and Quna exchangeUnavailableAvailable

The Server Market is open from the first day of Early Access. The Cross-Server Market, which trades with every server in your region, stays closed at the start of Early Access and at launch and opens later, once servers have caught up with each other. Every Founder’s Pack includes 30 days of membership; prices and the rest of the perks are on membership cost.

Swapping Kina and Quna

“One player lists Kina for sale, another spends Quna to buy it. All exchanges happen between players; the game makes no listings or purchases.”

(From NC notice: Team Update (the business model))

So the game never sells Kina itself, but a player with money can still turn Quna into Kina through other players. Whether that tips the balance is argued on is AION 2 pay to win. The Korean version works differently: there, players craft Kina boxes of 400,000, 2 million or 10 million and sell them for Quna.

No direct trades

You cannot hand items or Kina to another player. NC switched direct trading off after the test, as an anti-bot measure, and pointed everyone at the Market instead. The earlier membership notice lists personal trading as a perk; the anti-bot change came later, and NC has not reconciled the two. NC’s security FAQ also lists steering clear of gold sellers as part of keeping your account safe, and this guide does not cover buying Kina from outside the game.

Market rules in the Korean version

The global rules have not been published in this detail. In Korea:

  • A listing stays on the Market for 72 hours, and unsold items can be taken back.
  • Listing costs a fee worked out from your asking price, and it is not refunded if you cancel or nothing sells.
  • A sale is charged a settlement fee at the going tax rate; the World Market’s fee is higher. Buying costs no fee.
  • The World Market reaches players on every server, but only of your own faction.

Kina from dungeons shrinks with repeats (Korean version)

In Korea, once you have claimed a dungeon’s Odyle Energy rewards a certain number of times, the Kina they pay drops in steps. The guide gives these thresholds, counted in reward claims, without saying over what period they reset:

ContentFull KinaLowest stepNo Kina
Expedition, ExplorationUp to 715 to 20 (20%)21 and over
Expedition, ConquestUp to 84148 and over (20%)Stays at 20%
TranscendenceUp to 5699 and over (20%)Stays at 20%

The same guide splits dungeon Kina into two kinds, plain Kina and an engraved kind, and lists which dungeons pay which. If you are farming Kina to sell, mix your runs rather than repeating one; the dungeon types are on dungeons.
