AION 2 character creation
AION 2’s creator gives you more than 200 customization options across five tabs, and the face you settle on is not final: appearance change tickets exist. During the Launch Scale Test a hotfix stopped characters under level 10 from using them; NC has not said whether that rule carries into the live game. Take your time on day one anyway: apart from the Ultimate pack’s vouchers, NC has not said how global players will get those tickets.
What the screen lets you set
The only customization screenshot on the Steam page shows the Hair tab. Everything on it, area by area:

The hex code box lets you match a colour exactly between hair and dye, and Preview Outfit shows the face and hair with clothes on. What sits behind the Face, Style and Body Shape tabs is not shown in the Steam screenshots, so this page does not list their sliders. The Preset tab has a page of its own: character presets.

Before you press Next
- Faction and server first. Elyos and Asmodians live on separate servers, so a character made on the wrong side is a character remade. Elyos or Asmodian covers what the choice locks in.
- Class next. Every character is one class, and several Founder’s Pack items bind to the first character that claims them. Best class for new players helps if you are torn.
- Names. What is known about names and pre-registration for the global servers is on pre-registration and names.
Changing your look later
The Ultimate Founder’s Pack is the only product NC has announced with re-edit items so far. Its Daeva’s Styling Chest holds one Customization Voucher and one Appearance Change Voucher (7 Days), and the chest is bound to the character that claims it. NC has not described exactly what each voucher changes. Whatever you use, the level rule from the test hotfix applies:
“Characters below level 10 can no longer use appearance change tickets”
If that test rule stays, a look you regret at level 3 stays until level 10. Whether the Ultimate pack is worth it for the vouchers alone is on Founder’s Packs compared; the chest is one of the character-bound items, so claim it on the character you mean to keep.
What testers said
The Launch Scale Test gave players two days with the creator. Two reactions from the same thread, for and against:

If you want a face nobody else on your server has, spend your time in the Face and Body Shape tabs rather than stopping at a preset, and check it with Preview Outfit before you press Next.
