Is AION 2 coming to PS5 or Xbox?

Not as things stand. The global version of AION 2 is a PC game, and NC has not announced a PS5, Xbox or Switch version of it. NC’s wording is about the present rather than a promise either way, so the honest answer is “not announced”, not “no”.

The clearest line comes from NC’s pre-release FAQ. The question it answers is about phones, but the sentence covers every non-PC platform:

“The global version is currently being developed exclusively for PC platforms.”

What that means if you are deciding now

  • Nothing arrives on console on 5 October. The launch is Windows only, through Steam or PURPLE; download and install covers both.
  • A Founder’s Pack is a PC purchase. It is sold on Steam and PURPLE, and each copy works only on the launcher it was bought on. The tiers are on Founder’s Packs compared.
  • No carry-over plan exists to judge. With no console version announced, NC has also said nothing about PC characters moving to one. Anything you read about console cross-play is guesswork.
  • The game is free on PC. Trying it costs a download, not a purchase, from 5 October; see what is free and what is not.

The nearest thing to console play

A Windows PC connected to a TV, with a gamepad. NC says AION 2 is playable with a controller but is still deciding whether full controller support is within reach for launch, and the Steam page lists no controller support. The Korean version’s official button layout, and what Valve says about the Steam Deck, are on controller and Steam Deck. Check the PC side against the system requirements first: the minimum is a GTX 1050 Ti with 4 GB and 100 GB of free space.

Why the question keeps coming up

AION 2 is not a PC-only game everywhere: in Korea and Taiwan it is also played on phones, which makes a console version sound like a small step. That is a different service from the global one, though, and nothing NC has published for the global launch mentions a console.
