AION 2 codes and coupons

There are no public redeem codes for the global version of AION 2 yet. What exists are two personal coupon codes, one for pre-registering and one for the newsletter’s Pagati Mount, and neither works before the official launch.

NC is firm that the coupon field stays shut until the game is officially out:

“The pre-registration coupon code can be used after the official launch of AION2. Please note that the coupon code cannot be redeemed before the official launch.”

The free launch is 5 October. Early Access opens five days earlier for Founder’s Pack owners, but coupon redemption only starts with the official launch on 5 October. The pre-registration reward items are also due after launch, with the claiming process still to be announced. What pre-registering involved for the global version is on pre-registration and names.

How to redeem a code once the game is live

  1. Wait for the official launch A code entered earlier is refused, so there is nothing to gain by trying on day one of Early Access.
  2. Log in and load into the game Both coupon types are entered in game.
  3. Open Settings and find the coupon entry The two official answers disagree on the menu: Other, then Account, then Coupon Registration for the pre-registration code; Miscellaneous, then Enter Coupon for the Pagati Mount code. The menu in the live game decides, so look under Settings for whichever one is there.
  4. Type the code exactly as you received it If a code is refused after launch, NC support takes questions through a ticket at help.plaync.com.

Things that look like codes but are not

Twitch Drops are claimed on Twitch after you link your game account, and no campaign has been announced. Founder’s Pack items arrive through a claim button, and several of them bind to one character or server when claimed, so read Founder’s Packs compared before you press it. Codes posted for the Korean and Taiwanese service belong to that service, which runs on its own servers and accounts; the Taiwan and Korea page explains how the two versions differ. A site that asks for your NC password in exchange for a code is not giving you a code.
